Willy Muffin and the Bootcut Bluejeans is a solo artist project bringing stripped-down, simply recorded blues and rock songs to the world.  No expensive production here - just one artist putting everything together with love and Sellotape when and where he can.

The premise is simple: write a song, throw it together, then spend a bit of spit and polish time knocking off some of the rough edges.

Rock has suffered for decades under the thumb of over-production, losing its raw appeal.  Modern recording practices further rip the heart out of music by losing the feel of a recording space - creating a neutral, sterile recording environment.  A few buckets of gloss later, and there's a song...  The Willy Muffin project seeks to avoid this.
